Privacy Policy

TinyRecipia is a recipe saving, importing, cooking, grocery, pantry, and meal planning app.

Information TinyRecipia May Collect

TinyRecipia may collect or process information you choose to use in the app. This may include your email address and basic account information when you sign in with Apple or another supported provider; an anonymous guest account identifier if you choose Continue as guest; recipes you create, import, save, edit, favorite, or plan; recipe links, pasted text, photos, scans, screenshots, or voice notes you choose to import; pantry items and grocery list items you choose to scan, review, save, or edit; AI feature usage records for Magic Import, Make it Healthier, and Smart Kitchen; a randomly generated install identifier and hashed usage identity records used to enforce free starter balances, prevent abuse, and protect service integrity; purchase entitlement status for TinyRecipia Pro, including entitlement information received from Apple or RevenueCat; product interaction data needed to operate app features; and support messages you send to us.

TinyRecipia does not sell personal data. TinyRecipia does not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, payment card details, advertising identifiers, or third-party advertising tracking data.

App Store Privacy Label

TinyRecipia's App Store privacy label may list the following data types as collected and linked to your identity: Name, Email Address, User ID, Purchase History, Photos or Videos, Audio Data, Other User Content, and Product Interaction.

These data types are used for app functionality, such as account access, guest account operation, recipe import, grocery and pantry features, AI actions you request, purchase entitlement checks, usage limits, support, security, reliability, and account deletion. TinyRecipia does not use these data types for third-party advertising tracking.

Guest Accounts

If you choose Continue as guest, TinyRecipia creates an anonymous guest account through our authentication provider so the app can run metered AI features, store usage balances, and allow in-app account deletion. A guest account is not the same as signing in with an email address or Apple account, and it may not provide full cloud sync for recipes or other saved content.

Local Storage and Cloud Sync

Some TinyRecipia data can be stored on your device. If you sign in, supported account data may also be stored in the cloud so it can sync across your devices. If you use the app as a guest, most saved app content remains local to your device, but usage balances and limited account records may be stored in the cloud so free AI limits work correctly.

How TinyRecipia Uses Information

TinyRecipia uses information to let you sign in or continue as a guest; save recipes, grocery lists, pantry items, and meal plans; sync supported account data across your devices when you sign in; import recipes from content you choose; help identify pantry or grocery items from content you choose; generate recipe ideas, nutrition estimates, healthier recipe versions, or cooking support features you request; track free starter balances and Pro access; prevent abuse, fraud, repeated free-credit resets, and excessive automated usage; verify TinyRecipia Pro access and restore purchases; and respond to support and account requests.

AI Features

TinyRecipia includes optional AI-powered features, such as Magic Import, Make it Healthier, and Smart Kitchen. When you choose to use these features, the content you submit may be processed through TinyRecipia's secure backend and third-party AI providers, including OpenRouter, OpenAI, and model providers routed through those services, only to provide the feature you requested.

TinyRecipia asks for in-app consent before your first AI-powered recipe import and before your first Smart Kitchen AI action. Do not submit content you do not have permission to use.

Photos, Voice Notes, and Selected Content

Camera, photo library, microphone, and speech recognition access are used only when you choose related features, such as importing a recipe photo, scanning pantry or grocery content, or dictating a recipe note.

TinyRecipia does not store raw Smart Kitchen photos, screenshots, receipts, or pasted text after processing unless needed to complete the request. TinyRecipia may store the pantry items, grocery items, recipes, nutrition estimates, job status, usage events, or results you choose to save, plus limited records needed to operate the feature.

Usage Limits

Free Magic Import usage resets monthly. Other free starter AI balances, such as Make it Healthier and Smart Kitchen, are lifetime starter balances and are not meant to reset when you delete and reinstall the app, sign out, or delete a guest account. TinyRecipia may store account-linked usage balances and hashed identity usage records so Magic Import, Make it Healthier, and Smart Kitchen limits can be enforced fairly across installs and accounts.

Pro users may receive unlimited or expanded access based on the active subscription terms shown in the app. We may still keep limited logs needed for security, reliability, billing integrity, and abuse prevention.

Purchases

TinyRecipia Pro subscriptions are handled through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple manages billing, cancellation, renewals, refunds, and payment information through your Apple ID subscription settings. TinyRecipia uses RevenueCat and backend entitlement checks to verify active Pro access and restore purchases.

Data Sharing

TinyRecipia shares information only as needed to operate the app, such as authentication through Supabase, cloud sync, AI processing for content you choose to submit, app hosting, support, and purchase entitlement checks through Apple and RevenueCat. TinyRecipia does not sell personal data and does not use third-party advertising tracking.

Data Retention and Deletion

Recipes, pantry items, grocery items, meal plans, and account records remain in the app until you delete them or delete your account, depending on how they are stored. You can delete a signed-in account or guest account from the Profile screen in the app.

When you delete your account, TinyRecipia deletes your account profile and account-linked synced content. TinyRecipia may retain limited non-content records only when needed for security, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, subscription/account integrity, free usage enforcement, or legal compliance. These retained records may include hashed usage identity records and do not include your saved recipes, recipe links, raw photos, raw scans, voice notes, raw Smart Kitchen inputs, profile details, or saved content.

Deleting the TinyRecipia app from your device does not delete cloud account records. Deleting your TinyRecipia account does not cancel an active Apple subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Children's Privacy

TinyRecipia is not intended for children under 13.
